flustix LESS PLASTICS Product is a certification scheme for low-plastic products that either are or have to be packaged in plastic. Companies can set an example with a LESS PLASTICS product certification and the subsequent labeling of their products - not only for the benefit of the environment but also for the customer's satisfaction, as the demand for plastic-reduced products is constantly growing.
The LESS PLASTICS Product certification is awarded depending on the product category and material of the product to be certified. The certification is based on specific limit values that are aligned with international standards. The limit values range from at least 97% to verifiably at least 99.8% plastic-free. There are no requirements regarding the plastic content of the packaging.
The flustix certification is based on rigorous laboratory tests and a certification process developed in collaboration with over 50 independent specialist bodies and clearly stands out from commercial self-declarations. The seal is issued in cooperation with accredited certification and testing partners such as Control Union in an independent third-party system.
The certification program is based on international and national standards and is constantly being updated in accordance to them. In this way, flustix certification supports companies in complying with relevant and emerging EU regulations, such as PPWR or the Green Claims Directive. With this certification, companies receive a reliable certification mark that meets legal standards and is perceived by consumers as a sign of responsible production.
