Packaging & (Plastics) Recycling Expert / Auditor for Standards of Recycled Products (m/f/d)

With immediate effect, we are looking for a dedicated team member to implement and expand our services in the area of plastics in packaging and/or textiles, with a particular focus on (plastics) recycling, environmental management and the use of chemicals. This position offers the opportunity to travel to clients and carry out audits as well as to be involved in certification and the advancement of certification programmes from our back office.

Contract type: full-time, open-ended

Your tasks

  • preparation of certification decisions and evaluation of audit reports covering the entire value chain (raw material production, processing, trade)
  • involvement in communicating with authorities and scheme owners
  • (international) customer contact and/or contact with colleagues by phone
As well as
  • Auditing according to the standards of sustainable programmes with a focus on recycling and biobased plastics, and the associated assessment of compliance with the standards in enterprises.
    • Planning and conducting of audits as lead auditor (f/m/d) in compliance with the accreditation requirements and the procedural guideline.
    • Verification of documents and procedures at the client's premises.
    • Recording of compliance and deviations as well as processes.
    • Evaluation of the evidence seen during and after the audits in the form of a report.

Your profile

  • a university degree in the field of chemistry, packaging, recycling, environmental science or similar.
  • or a corresponding professional training in the packaging or recycling sector and, if possible, further training
  • or relevant professional experience
  • knowledge of technical and physical/chemical processes as well as practical, mathematical skills 
  • proficienct in using common office programs
  • fluent written and spoken English, German C1 level

  • are able to provide an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification (IRCA),
